Get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking about my first time doing a craft fair. It was my goal to do a craft fair this year, so when I was approached to do the, Funky Finds Spring Fling, I figured it was fate or something telling me to get off my hiney and sign up.
Well, it is now t-minus 31 days to show time and I am scrambling to be sure I'm ready. I have tons of soap cured and ready to package. I'm currently working to streamline the packaging process so that I can sit down and get as many wrapped in one go as possible.
I'm also working on displays. I've purchased baskets to display my soap. I had planned to paint them all to be the same color, but now I'm undecided. They look cool together as is, but I'm afraid it might be too busy combined with the colors of the wrapped soap.
I have a plan for my sign, but it is not finished.
I need table clothes. Possibly have the material to make them, but not sure of how it will look.
I have some ideas for product lit. to have available, but not typed and printed yet.
I also plan to have an inventory list that can easily be marked as my products are purchased, mailing list sign up sheet, custom order form, and wholesale info. printed and available for all interested.
I also have a couple of soaps that I should make this week so that they are ready for the fair. Thank goodness hot process cures faster than cold process, or I'd be stuck with what I have.
In other words, I won't be sleeping much between now and April 25. Think of me as you drift off to a good night's sleep. And please, if you have any tips for a craft fair newbie, do share!
